St. Francis Church : The oldest existing European Church in India, this 16th century church is the main landmark in Fort Kochi. The remnants of Vasco da Gama were buried here before being shifted to Portugal. Paradesi Synagogue : Also known as Cochin Jewish Synagogue, this is the oldest synagogue in the commonwealth. This synagogue was built in 1568 AD and is adorned with exquisite hand-painted, blue-and-white Chinese porcelain tiles and Belgian hanging lamps. The synagogue still has the scrolls of the Old Testament and the copper plates, which recorded the grants of privilege, bequeathed by the Kochi rulers. Chinese Fishing Nets : These huge cantilevered fishing nets seen in the Vasco da Gama square are a top draw among the tourists.

Goa - India
Goa is world famous for its beaches, its ancient temples and churches, and its Goan carnival. Most beaches have shacks that serve surprisingly delicious meals, specially sea-food and they'll usually consult you to see how you like your food. Don't miss the shack eating experience. You'll want to go back and do it again. If naval aviation interests you, you might want to stop by the Naval Air Museum.
